Hurghada is a very Egyptian town which is split into 3 areas, The tourist area “Villages Road” has numerous, bars, nightclubs, restaurants, Hotels and beaches. It has a promenade area about 5 kms in length. All the big Restaurant groups are there.
The Town Centre Sekala is shop after shop, designer shops, jewellers, restaurants bars and night clubs like the Ministry of sound are all found here. All cuisine tastes are catered for in the town centre and throughout Hurghada.
The Port has the ferry terminal for day trips to Sharm El Sheik 90 minutes and around £30 for the round trip.
The old town El Dahar is culturally exciting to see how the Egyptians go about their every day life.
Hurghada has long golden sandy beaches with a stunning mountain backdrop, and is renown for its crystal clear waters and scuba diving schools or trips that can be taken to the paradise Giftun Islands. For beginners there are shallow reef sites with an abundance of marine life on both hard and soft coral, for the more experienced diver there are several sunken shipwrecks to see and the chance to swim with morays and turtles. Other watersports include windsurfing, sailing, deep sea fishing, snorkelling and kitesurfing.
El Gouna is 15 minutes away and £3 in a taxi, it is truly an oasis, a gated town with a downtown area plus a beautiful marina, both of which have bars, restaurants and shops. The beach there is one of the best in the region.
The Egyptian people love their tourists in particular the Europeans, they love to stop you and practice their English.
